Life is complicated, and the unexpected is to be expected. The deposit is non-refundable, as this helps to protect my business due to turning away all other bookings for your wedding date. I hope you understand that the deposit is insurance for my business to stay afloat in the event of a cancellation.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL OR MOVE MY BOOKING?

Yes, we can organise to split your payments into four installments. Just let me know if this would suit you.

DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?

Of course, I'd love for you to print your favourite photos! You can easily order photo prints through your online gallery.

CAN I PRINT MY PHOTOS?  

You’ll receive approximately 200–500 carefully edited images, depending on the length and flow of your elopement or intimate wedding in Norway.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE FROM OUR ELOPEMENT?

Most couples book enough time to slow down, explore a few locations, and let the day feel like an adventure – not a rush.

HOW MUCH PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE DO WE NEED?

Yes! I’ll recommend hikes, fjord adventures, Viking-style experiences, and cozy celebrations that fit your timeline.

Many couples stay for 3 to 5 days and want their wedding to feel like an adventure! Popular activities include:

CAN YOU HELP US PLAN ACTIVITIES AROUND OUR ELOPEMENT?

Yes, I regularly work with couples who prefer to complete the paperwork at home and focus their day on something deeply personal and meaningful! This includes:

  • Pagan or Viking-inspired ceremonies
  • Nature-based rituals
  • Handfastings
  • Symbolic ceremonies outdoors

The western fjord region, with its forests and mountains, is an incredible setting for intimate, spiritual, and non-traditional weddings. 

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH PAGAN, VIKING-INSPIRED, OR NON-TRADITIONAL CEREMONIES?

That’s definitely possible! Many couples handle the legal paperwork at home and do a personal ceremony outdoors here.



WHAT IF WE WANT A SYMBOLIC CEREMONY IN NATURE INSTEAD? 

Earlier is always better. Most of my couples begin several months ahead to allow time for applications and approvals. I’ll walk you through recommended timelines so you can plan flights and accommodation without any stress.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE START THE LEGAL PROCESS?

Yes! I guide couples from the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia through the full process for their destination elopement in Norway, from marriage requirements, paperwork, and timelines. 

CAN YOU HELP US LEGALLY MARRY IN NORWAY?

Yes, for a legally binding ceremony, you’ll need an authorised wedding officiant in Norway. I can help you find the right person.

DO WE NEED A LOCAL OFFICIANT, AND CAN YOU HELP US FIND ONE?

Yes! US citizens can marry in Norway, but you’ll need to plan ahead for documentation and approval steps.


IS IT POSSIBLE FOR AMERICANS TO MARRY IN NORWAY?

For outdoor elopements in Norway, there really is no “bad” weather – only different moods. Dramatic skies, misty fjords, and shifting light are what make this landscape so powerful!

I plan with flexibility, adapt quickly, and guide you through clothing and timing so you can stay comfortable and fully enjoy the experience.


WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON OUR ELOPEMENT DAY?

Not at all! You can get epic views over the fjord with short walks – and hike only if you want to.

Many couples want an outdoor ceremony with incredible views, but without a long or difficult hike. Norway’s west coast landscapes are perfect for this! There are stunning fjord locations and mountain viewpoints that are easily accessible by car or short walks.

If you want to hike, we can do that too. But, loving nature matters more than being athletic!


DO WE NEED TO BE ADVENTUROUS OR LOVE HIKING TO ELOPE IN NORWAY?

Loen delivers dramatic scenery with comfort and accessibility! If you want towering mountains, lush greenery, and striking backdrops, this area offers an incredible balance. 

It works beautifully if you’re bringing a small group and planning shared activities over several days. 

WHAT KIND OF ELOPEMENT EXPERIENCE DOES LOEN OFFER?

Luster is big, wild, and glacier-close. It’s best if you want expansive nature and a dramatic backdrop!

HOW DO WE CHOOSE THE BEST LOCATION TO ELOPE IN WESTERN NORWAY?

I’m based in Sogndal, Norway, right in the heart of the fjords, which makes me ideally located for elopements and destination weddings in Western Norway. I’ve spent years photographing elopements in Balestrand, Luster, Loen, fjord regions, and other northern and scenic parts of Norway when requested.
