If you’re dreaming of an intimate wedding in Norway surrounded by dramatic fjords and mountain views, Norway — and specifically Stryn and Loen — offers a breathtaking setting. Couples from all over the world choose this region for its combination of rugged landscape, peaceful atmosphere and easily accessible adventure.
Here, you can have a mountaintop ceremony reached by cable car, celebrate with a private meal overlooking the fjord, and relax in cozy lodge surroundings afterwards. Whether you’re planning a true elopement just the two of you, or a small celebration with close friends and family, this region is the perfect match.
Located in Western Norway in the Nordfjord region, the village of Loen sits at the edge of the fjord surrounded by steep mountains and turquoise water. It feels wild and remote, yet everything you need is close and easy to access.
What makes this area special:
When planning an elopement, choosing the right place to stay matters. Lodgen Stryn is a cozy and stylish basecamp that gives you the perfect balance between comfort and relaxed atmosphere.
It feels less like a hotel and more like a private lodge where you can truly unwind and enjoy the moment.

One of the most spectacular ceremony locations in Norway is reached through the Loen Skylift — a cable car that brings you from fjord level to around 1,011 meters above sea level in about five minutes. At the top awaits breathtaking panoramic views and the beautiful Hoven Restaurant.
